How to Customize a Menu

This guide explains how to update columns and views using the Menu Customization box.

Menu Customization allows you to control which columns appear and how items are displayed in the Cases, People, or Items list.
Customize Columns
  1. Click the Menu Customization box.
  2. In the dropdown:
    1. ✔ (Visible) = column is shown
    2. ✖ (Hidden) = column is not shown
    3. Click a column name to show or hide it
To remove a column quickly, click the blue “x” on the column header.


Create a New View
  1. Click Menu Customization → Views.

  2. Select Duplicate Selected.

Enter a name and click OK. (Optional: Check Share this View with all users in the Organization.)

Switch Between Views
  1. Click Menu Customization → Views.
  2. Select a view from the list.
    1. A checkmark indicates your current view.

Delete Selected Option
  1. Switch to the view you want to delete.
  2. Click Menu Customization → Views.
  3. Select Delete Selected.


Edit Button on Items List
  1. Click Edit.
  2. Remove items as needed.
  3. Changes reset when you refresh the page or exit Edit mode.

SAFE TIP: As a new user to SAFE, you will automatically be in the Default view.  This is a customizable view for every user.
