SAFE Logout and Timeout Settings

SAFE Logout and Timeout Settings

This article explains how logging out of SAFE affects Concurrent Access Licenses (CALs) and how automatic timeout settings work. It also provides instructions for administrators on how to update the default timeout configuration.

SAFE TIPLogging out of SAFE ensures your Concurrent Access License (CAL) is released, allowing other users to log in and continue their work without interruption.

Step 1: To Logout of SAFE, simply click the Power Icon located in the top right-hand corner of the Navigation Menu.

Step 2: Users who do not log out will be automatically logged out after 30 minutes of inactivity. (default setting). After logout, a confirmation message is displayed.

ADMINISTRATOR ONLY: Update the Default Timeout Setting.

Note: Administrative permissions are required to change organization settings.

To update the automatic logout (timeout) setting: Log in with Administrator permissions and navigate to Navigation Menu → Settings → Organization → Org Settings, update the Timeout value (in minutes), Select Edit. Be sure to save your changes.

SAFE TIPS FOR SUCCESS

  1. When a user signs in, they take up 1 Concurrent Access License (CAL) for as long as they stay logged in.
  2. To keep licenses available for others, users should log out after they’re done.
  3. If all CALs are in use, new users won’t be able to log in and will see: Maximum Number of Concurrent Access Licenses has been reached.
